Belgium was accepted as the 35th member nation of the European Curling Federation when the Semi-Annual General Meeting of the ECF took place today at the Holiday Inn Hotel at Paisley, Scotland. Belgium was granted ECF membership for the second time in history: They had already been ECF member in the previous century but around the year 2000 their activities ceased. They now received a warm welcome back!
At the same time the ECF General Meeting decided to have the ECF registered in Berne, Switzerland and adopted several additions to the ECF constitution in order to comply with Swiss law.
