The World Senior Championships which were held at the Taarnby Club in Copenhagen between the 4th and 11th March produced mixed results for the European teams.
The Swedish women were successful in winning the gold medal, coming from behind to defeat Canada in the final. Switzerland were third. In the men's event, it was an all North American final with Canada dominating over the USA. Sweden upheld Europe's honour with the bronze medal.
