Congratulations to Wales on winning the European Mixed Curling Championships 2007 at Madrid, Spain. The team composed of Adrian Meikle, Lesley Carol, Andrew Tanner, Blair Hughes and Chris Wells defeated Denmark 6:5 in the finals at Palacio de Hielo and won the country's first ever European title! The bronze medal match between Germany and Austria finished 5:3 in favour of the German Schöpp-team.
At the same time the European Curling Federation announced that the fourth edition of the very popular European Mixed Curling Championships will be held in Kitzbühel, Austria in the fall of 2008.
