After a victory over host nation Czech Republic this morning in the semi-finals, Scotland went on to win the 5th European Mixed Curling Championships 2009 at Prague, Czech Republic beating Denmark, silver medallist at EMCC 2007 at Madrid, Spain. This is the second victory of Scottish skip Tom Brewster with a different team from Aberdeen, host city of the 2009 Le Gruyere European Curling Championships.

The bronze medal game was won by the English team, who had won all their games in their section, but who had lost to Denmark in their semi-final.

The true spirit of Curling was demonstrated by the 24 participating teams, who enjoyed a wonderful, well organised competition in Prague.
