The first arena to receive this title is the Curling arena in Champery, SUI.

Also, following the resignation of former ECF President Andrew Ferguson-Smith the members elected Olli Rissanen from FIN to serve as new ECF President for the remainder of the President’s term of office. In December 2012 the whole Executive Board may/will run for re-election.

Regarding future sites for the European Curling Championships, the ECF Board announced that (subject to final contract negotiations) the championships will be hosted by Stavanger, Norway in 2013 and Champery, Switzerland in 2014.

The next (Semi-Annual) General Meeting of the European Curling Federation will take place in Basel, Switzerland during the Men’s World Curling Championship 2012.
